Installation

Visual Studio 2012

  1. Download the package "Redwerb Visualizers for VS 2012"
  2. Extract the contents of the zip file.
  3. Place the dll in the Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Visualizers directory.

NOTE: Visual Studio will automatically pick up the new visualizer the next time you start the debugger (no need to shut down Visual Studio).

Visual Studio 2010

  1. Download the package "Redwerb Visualizers for VS 2010"
  2. Extract the contents of the zip file.
  3. Place the dll in the Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Visualizers directory.

NOTE: Visual Studio will automatically pick up the new visualizer the next time you start the debugger (no need to shut down Visual Studio).

Configuration

The text visualizer available in the VS2012 package will, by default, open Notepad. If you would like to open the text file in a different text editor, you can can create a XML file called Redwerb.Visualizers.cfg in the same directory as Redwerb.Visualizers.dll (Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Visualizers).

The file should look like this...

<RedwerbVisualizer>
    <Text>
        <Path>C:\Path\To\Text\Editor.exe</Path>
    </Text>
</RedwerbVisualizer>
